STABLE

At STABLE Therapy, we believe that it is every person and horse's birthright to journey through life with the capacity to feel safe and fully connected to themselves, and those they are in relationship with. When we feel safe physically, emotionally and spiritually, we thrive and grow and are able to reach our full potential.

Trauma and overwhelming stress can often take this away, leaving us with overwhelming or underwhelming thoughts, feelings and problematic behaviours and secondary health conditions such as anxiety, depression, anger, sleep issues, gut issues, chronic pain, addiction and more.

Drawing upon Polyvagal informed somatic therapy modalities such as Somatic Experiencing and Safe and Sound Protocol, we work with clients both humans and horses to return back to a state of safety and connection where life and the relationship we have with ourselves and those around us feels safe, and we are able to expand and grow into our full potential, our true self, our birthright.

Somatic Equine Therapy

Drawing upon principles from Polyvagal theory and Somatic Experiencing our equine therapy horses support and deepen awareness to clients specifically around bodily expression, sensation and activation of the social engagement system.

Trauma Counselling

Somatic Experiencing is a body oriented approach to treating trauma that focuses on processing traumatic memory, calming the nervous system and releasing traumatic shock from the body.  We can use Somatic counselling techniques to support people with trauma and or PTSD.

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an

evidence-based listening therapy  designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioural state regulation, and social engagement behaviours through filtered music.

Meet Emily

Hi, I'm Emily, I have been in private practice for about 12 years now, starting as a life coach then moving into transpersonal (holistic) counselling and more recently as a somatic trauma counsellor.  Whilst my life journey has had a few hurdles along the way, I've continued to learn and grow.  I believe through both learned and life experiences I have the tools and methods to guide you on your path to recovery. To achieve stability through nature based practices and somatic trauma informed counselling steeped in polyvagal theory framework.  Reconnection to mind and body.
